Into the rubber room you go

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump’s id is edging closer to a complete mental breakdown as we all edge ever closer to a New Year. On Friday, Trump had a meltdown. It was a bad one. What I notice with all his meltdowns is a pattern.

That pattern is that he sounds more unhinged in each new Truth Social rant he puts up. On Friday, his royal failure predicted that if he is not elected in 2024, America’s financial system would collapse! Oh no! Sigh. Here we are again, friends and readers. Here we are, stuck in the middle with Donald Trump’s insanity.

“THE ECONOMY IS TERRIBLE.”

Happy Holidays, Donnie. No, it isn’t.

“HE HAS TOTALLY DESTROYED THE BUYING POWER OF THE CONSUMER!!”

Good God, Mr. Trump, please shut up.

“CRASH WORSE THAN THAT OF 1929!!”

Right. It’s ironic that the only way the traitor knows how to run for the Republican nomination is to threaten. The fact of the matter is the economy is doing really well. And nothing that Trump says can change that.

That being said, I do wonder what in hell the GOP is thinking supporting this man. Look, I get it. They’re cowards. But are they REALLY this stupid that they can’t see how crazed the apple of their political eye is?

I do wonder. Is there anything that Trump could possibly say that would penetrate the GOP’s breaking point? Everyone has a breaking point. Everybody has certain boundaries that, when crossed, would have to signal the end of that particular relationship, whether it be with a friend, a spouse, or a coworker. People have boundaries.

The GOP has no boundaries. It is not even about winning, since all the GOP has done since Trump came on the scene is to lose. Perhaps, they are afraid of Maga threats.

Perhaps they’ve looked around at the available political livestock they have and determined none are of high enough quality to run for president. Perhaps they are just fools who still cling to the hope that Trump- can lead them on a path to victory.

The only place Donald Trump will lead them is into the rubber room. And they should know this. But since they do not appear to, that will make beating them that much more smooth.
