Donald Trump has no idea how to save himself from his worsening whistleblower scandal and the rapid march to impeach him. We know this because his attempts at saving himself have consisted entirely of delusional nonsense like calling for a Congressman to be arrested and then wondering why it didn’t magically happen. Now Trump has found a way to top himself in the stupidity department.
Over the past couple days, one major poll after another has shown that Americans are quickly signing on in favor of impeachment. These polls show that the majority of Americans now support the impeachment inquiry, and most of those people also support outright ousting him. So what is Trump doing to counter this growing public perception? He just tweeted this poll:
That’s right, Donald Trump is now quoting an online poll run by a white supremacist propaganda site. If he truly believes that 97.83% of Americans support him when it comes to impeachment, he’s more delusional than we ever imagined. And if he’s crowing about this poll because it represents his base, this is a timely reminder that Trump’s base is not large enough to save Trump by itself. He needs the support of people outside his base – and the real polls say he’s rapidly losing that.
