Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

As the former guy has been indicted and is now preparing for yet another trial – this time on probably the most serious charges he’s facing yet, he’s also awaiting what could be a sizable case in Georgia, that could also implicate a number of prominent Republicans as well.

As this is happening, a whole lot of right-wing pundits and politicians are desperately trying to spin it as a political attack. This is of course, ridiculous, as just about every witness lined up against Donald Trump so far is a Republican – many from his own administration, who are now finding themselves in the undesirable position of having to testify against their old boss.

Their other strategy has been to push a story about President Biden – though what exactly he’s being accused of isn’t really quite clear, and hope that it somehow gains traction through the media in a sort of “both sides are just as bad” way.

This is the real reason right-wingers are melting down as Donald Trump is facing legal trouble: Their constant investigations of Democrats like Hillary Clinton, President Obama or the Bidens are never really meant to yield meaningful results – or even to actually indict anyone. They’re really just a way to waste everyone’s time and money, while also casting doubt on the legitimacy of criminal investigations.

This is precisely why everything needs to be done methodically – as much as the media wants to find out what the next step is – and it’s why this investigation actually made great strides in such a short time – it’s the real deal and Republicans are finally being held accountable for their actions.
