Donald Trump is completely imploding

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump, ten points down in the polling averages, sick with coronavirus, and fighting off scandals left and right, really needed a strong performance in next week’s second presidential debate. Instead he blew it off entirely because he didn’t like the virtual format.

Instead Trump has scheduled a campaign event at the White House for today, an unconscionably dangerous move considering he’s still contagious with coronavirus. It’s also a remarkably stupid strategic move, because there are only two ways it’ll play out. One is that not many people show up, and Trump looks foolish. The other is that a bunch of people show up, and next week they start testing positive for coronavirus, and Trump has a whole new scandal on his hands.

But at this point Donald Trump doesn’t seem to be interested in doing what it takes to give himself a chance to win, or perhaps his mind is so far gone that he doesn’t understand the consequences of what he’s doing. In any case, Trump is completely imploding. Now is our big chance to put in the required work on voter registration and turnout, and run up the score and finish this guy off.
