I’m disgusted by this
This is the point at which “whataboutism” becomes flagrantly racist. Donald Trump dug up two disturbing videos of recent violence where a person of color is attacking a white person and demanded in one of the tweets, “Looks [sic] what’s going on here. Where are the protesters? Was this man arrested?”
The suggestion is — and there really is no other way to interpret what Trump is saying here — that no one has the right to protest the ongoing murder of people of color by the police, or the systemic racism in police departments that leads to it, until all people of color obey the law. If you want final proof that Donald Trump is a flagrant racist, you now have it.
I’m disgusted on several levels by this. First, I’m disgusted at Twitter for permitting this kind of violence to be used for an overtly racist agenda. Second, I’m disgusted that there isn’t more outrage in the media over this. And third I’m disgusted that someone in the White House hasn’t talked Trump into removing those two tweets. I’m also disgusted at Trump, though not surprised. Trump showed me very early on that he was and remains a racist, and I have never ceased believing him the first time.
To the people who still insist that “Joe Biden is just as bad as Trump,” I’ve got news for you: reality is calling and it has no idea who the hell you are. We are now dealing with a genocidal racist murderer in the White House, if you think that’s just as bad as being opposed to a strictly single-payer healthcare solution then you aren’t just stupid any more, you are out of your goddamned mind.
This is why we must unite against this evil, child-raping, racist murderer usurping our White House. Trump and his pirate ship of criminal thieves have the power of the executive branch of government. They will use it to lie, cheat, steal and collude with foreign powers to ensure a Trump second term. We must unite against him. Vote for Joe Biden on November third as if your very life depended on it. Because it just might. And, as ever, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, comrades and friends, stay safe.
