GOP Congressman caught tweeting photoshopped picture of President Obama

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

If you’ve been paying attention to the Republican House, you’re already aware that GOP Congressman Paul Gosar is an idiot. Today he decided to make a point reminding everyone of this fact, by posting a photoshopped photo of President Obama shaking hands with an Iranian leader. To make things even worse, Gosar then proceeded to misidentify the wrong Iranian leader. Once caught, Gosar then had a total meltdown.

Congressman Gosar tweeted “The world is a better place without these guys in power.” He attached a photo of President Obama shaking hands with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani:

There are a couple major problems here. First, the photo is not real. Various people on Twitter were quickly able to track down the original photo, in which President Obama is seen shaking hands with someone else entirely. Also, Rouhani is still in power. Gosar tweeted that both the men in the photo are now out of power, which suggests that he thinks Rouhani and the recently assassinated Soleimani are the same person.

Once caught in the act, Congressman Gosar lashed out at “dim witted reporters” while insisting that “no one said this wasn’t photoshopped. No one said the president of Iran was dead. No one said Obama met with Rouhani in person.” Wait, so he’s saying that it’s okay for a Congressman to tweet a deceptively photoshopped photograph of a U.S. President, without warning anyone that it’s photoshopped? This is bizarre.
