I can’t even with this guy
When Hurricane Dorian’s projected path changed from hitting a bunch of nonwhite Americans in Puerto Rico to hitting a bunch of white Americans in the southeast, Donald Trump suddenly cared enough to cancel his overseas trip so he could monitor the situation. When it briefly looked like Dorian might hit Mar-a-Lago, Trump was all ears. After the path shifted northward, CNN says Trump snuck away yesterday to go golfing. In hindsight, he’d have done better to just stay on the golf course.
Earlier today, Donald Trump announced to the TV cameras and on Twitter that Hurricane Dorian was now set to hit Alabama hard, along with a few other states. The trouble: Alabama doesn’t even border the Atlantic Ocean, and Trump just sent a bunch of people into a panic for nothing. Maybe Trump has Alabama on the brain because it’s one of the few states where his approval rating isn’t laughably underwater. But now Trump has made it worse.
Donald Trump now says he’s shocked that Dorian has turned into a Category 5 hurricane. He says he didn’t know such a thing existed. That’s a problem because, as numerous observers have pointed out, multiple Category 5 hurricanes have already hit the United States since Trump took office. So either he’s making this up for no reason, or he’s too senile to remember the previous hurricanes, or he really was paying that little attention when the other hurricanes landed. Or all of the above.
Either way, I can’t even with this guy. Donald Trump is equal parts narcissist, cognitively challenged, corrupt, ignorant, criminal, psychopath, and idiot. Anyone still supporting this guy is either not a real American, or not a real human. It’s as simple as that.
