Donald Trump just accidentally gave himself his most humiliating new nickname yet

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Just about everything is going wrong for Donald Trump at once these days. His economic policies have caused increasingly visible damage to the economy, and people are starting to see it. His racist rhetoric has turned so deadly, it’s finally backfiring on him. Trump was already facing difficult 2020 reelection odds, and this week those odds got far worse. So what’s Trump doing about it?

Donald Trump is now lining up excuses in case he loses. The thing is, he’s tripping over himself while trying to lay the groundwork for explaining away a potential loss. Trump posted this bizarre phony conspiracy theory, and see if you can spot where he went hilariously wrong:

Sundar Pichai of Google was in the Oval Office working very hard to explain how much he liked me, what a great job the Administration is doing, that Google was not involved with China’s military, that they didn’t help Crooked Hillary over me in the 2016 Election, & that they are NOT planning to illegally subvert the 2020 Election despite all that has been said to the contrary. It all sounded good until I watched Kevin Cernekee, a Google engineer, say terrible things about what they did in 2016 and that they want to “Make sure that Trump losses in 2020.” Lou Dobbs stated that this is a fraud on the American public. Peter Schweizer stated with certainty that they suppressed negative stories on Hillary Clinton, and boosted negative stories on Donald Ttump. All very illegal. We are watching Google very closely!

To be clear, none of what Trump is claiming above has any truth to it. But whatever he was trying to accomplish with the tweet, it all got pushed aside when he accidentally referred to himself as “Donald Ttump.” That’s right, the guy who once spelled his wife’s name wrong has now spelled his own name wrong.

This prompted “Donald Ttump” to begin trending on Twitter all day, and spawned a thousand jokes accordingly. So now, on top of the prevailing narratives about Trump being an economic bumbler and a racist, he’s also facing a prevailing narrative about being an illiterate idiot. Remarkably, even after Trump deleted the tweet this afternoon and corrected his own name, he managed to misspell the word “loses” again.
