How rude!

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump would be better suited going back to the Apprentice than remaining “President,” because it seems all he knows how to do is fire people. Is he actually getting any work done while he keeps the government in a constant cycle of chaos? Maybe Trump would prefer to spend all of his time onboarding various federal employees, just so he can spew vitriol at them and fire them a short time later.

By now Donald and Melania are probably used to being despised by the media and the public, at least outside of their “base.” However, when it comes closer to home, they can’t stand the idea of being disrespected. Some recent shakeups in equilibrium around Donald and Melania seem to be because no one around them shows them “respect.”

First, Trump set Jim Acosta of CNN up for attack at a press conference. It was apparent to all that Trump verbally jumped on Acosta as if he were using him as a whipping post. Then Trump went from reporter to reporter, as if he was a verbal assassin, insulting them in a belligerent manner that seemed to only further fuel Trump’s anger. After Trump’s shocking performance at the press conference, he actually blocked Jim Acosta’s future access from The White House, citing lack of respect for the office of the presidency (along with a doctored video allegedly showing a physical assault). Sadly, this is ludicrous for many reasons, mainly because it is so glaringly obvious to everyone but Trump, that Trump himself is the most disrespectful thing to ever happen to the office of the presidency of the United States.

CNN has filed a lawsuit on behalf of Jim Acosta, citing that Trump was violating First and Fifth Amendments by not allowing Jim access to the White House press corps. Trump is not only violating freedom of the press, but also taking the law into his own hands as if he were judge and jury. To further pour salt into Trump’s wounds, Fox News, his back-pocket broadcast network, is siding with CNN in the matter. Reading between the lines, it sounds like both of the Trumps are suffering from the lack of homage they had been expecting from everyone around them. However, it is hardly surprising they get the cold shoulder when they act like royal pains.
