House Republicans just screwed themselves with this one

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Remember: it’s great that most House Republicans, even in moderate districts, voted against referring Steve Bannon for prosecution. It means we can use it against them in the midterms. This is all about winning – keeping control of the House – and this helps our cause.

There’s no secret evil genius plan here on the part of the Republicans. They’re just afraid Trump will say something nasty about them on his way down. Nor does this in any way help Bannon, because the criminal referral still happened, which was always 100% going to happen.

Those sitting around today and lamenting about the “rule of law is dead” or whatever are just wasting their time and ours. This is war. Lamenting is how you lose. If you want to win, you look for things to use to your advantage and you use them. Aggressively.
