After Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi vetoed the notorious Jim Jordan and Jim Banks from the January 6th Committee, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy responded by withdrawing all five of his Republican picks for the committee.

One of them was House Republican Kelly Armstrong. He appeared on MSNBC today and heaped praise on the Capitol Police officers who testified to the January 6th Committee today:

This raises further questions about whether Kevin McCarthy has any idea what he’s even trying to do. He put Rep. Kelly Armstrong on the January 6th Committee, only to remove him a day later – and now Armstrong is describing the committee’s first witnesses as heroes. No wonder McCarthy felt compelled to withdraw comparatively reasonable voices like Armstrong, once he learned he wasn’t going to be able to have conspiracy theorists like Jordan and Banks.
