House Republican insurrection caucus is off to the races

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Investigating the investigators. That’s what Republicans want to do. Of course, all their so-called investigations will not amount to anything. But that does not mean they will not take every opportunity to spill their vitriol every which way but loose.

Take Arizona rep. Andy Biggs. What IS it with some of these Arizona politicians? Arizona is such a beautiful state. You all deserve better than some of these bizarre people you have representing you.

Andy Biggs went ballistic and started lashing out at Doctor Jill Biden, our first lady. Declaring her “compromised,” Biggs insisted she must be investigated. Doctor Jill Biden is a subject of much jealousy from republicans. This is likely because she is one of the most gracious, classy, and terrific first ladies this country has ever seen.

But it is not just Biggs. The whole of the republican party in Arizona stinks to high heaven. For example. Arizona Republicans say they will sue Governor Katie Hobbs for daring to issue executive orders this week. The Arizona freedom caucus walked out of the room during Hobbs’s speech and vowed to “stand in her way” every day she is Governor.

And, of course, Kari Lake is alive and unwell and living on Twitter, calling herself the duly elected Governor and, in general, acting like a crazed stalker out of a psycho movie. So the question is: what on earth is going on in Arizona? There appear to be a bunch of stark raving lunatics, and their insanity is off the charts.

One of my new year’s resolutions for 2023 is to work far and wide to turn Arizona from purple to full-on blue. We must. This state has really come into its own, voting for great people like Governor Hobbs. We must work hard to raise her up even higher and turn her solid blue. However, there still exists in Arizona the crazies, scornful and the bitter, ready and willing to do anything they can to sabotage all of Arizona’s good work.
