Donald Trump posts horrible tweet about Melania Trump
Melania Trump’s disappearing act has come to an end. Unfortunately for Donald Trump, he’s handled it in such a manner that we won’t be shocked if Melania quickly disappears again. As recently as yesterday, the White House was refusing to say if Melania was still in the hospital, or where she was. Now Donald says Melania is finally home. Either that, or he just announced he’s married some other woman with a different name.
Here’s what Donald Trump tweeted today about his wife: “Great to have our incredible First Lady back home in the White House. Melanie is feeling and doing really well. Thank you for all of your prayers and best wishes!” That’s right, he called his wife “Melanie.” Wow. He then deleted it, and replaced it with a new version referring to “Melania” instead. This set off such an immediate firestorm, the name “Melanie” immediately began trending on Twitter.
We know Trump is semi-illiterate. We know he doesn’t have even a basic understanding of how to use technology. But after his wife’s mysterious five day vanishing act, one would think that if there’s ever been a tweet that Trump would have stopped and double checked before posting, it would have been this one.
The jokes and punchlines came quickly across social media. Was Donald Trump trying to upstage today’s Royal Wedding by getting married to someone named Melanie? Does this mean Melania Trump is in the witness protection program under a new name? But the bottom line is this: Trump is now so frazzled by his scandals, or so senile, or both, he can’t even get his wife’s name right anymore. This guy isn’t going to last much longer before he’s the one carted off by medical professionals.
