Hope Hicks has coronavirus, and she’s exposed Donald Trump to it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump keeps insisting that his in-person and largely maskless political rallies aren’t putting anyone in danger. But now it turns out Trump and his own people are in danger, as his adviser Hope Hicks has tested positive for coronavirus – and she’s exposed Trump to it as well.

Hope Hicks has tested positive today, after having traveled with Donald Trump to the debate on Tuesday and to his Minnesota rally yesterday, according to Jennifer Jacobs of Bloomberg News. Hicks was quarantined for the flight home from Minnesota, which means she had coronavirus when she traveled with Trump to Minnesota, meaning she definitely exposed him to it. That does not mean that Trump actually caught it; he reportedly has no symptoms yet, and we’ll have to wait several days to see if he does develop symptoms or tests positive.

This is the latest reminder that Donald Trump’s in-person rallies, and shunning of masks and social distancing, are dangerous and deadly. Trump adviser Herman Cain attended the infamous Tulsa rally, contracted coronavirus, and died from it. Now Hope Hicks has coronavirus, her health is up in the air, and Trump himself has been exposed. That’s before getting to the unknown number of Trump rally attendees who have passed coronavirus around.
