Holy crap, this is bad news for Matt Gaetz

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Earlier this week Palmer Report brought you the story of how federal prosecutors had an imminent deadline for formalizing a plea deal with indicted Florida political figure Joel Greenberg. We explained that if no deal happened, then it didn’t mean that his pal Matt Gaetz was off the hook – but if the deal did happen, then it would be terrible news for Gaetz.

We weren’t sure if such a deal would happen or not. Greenberg has been accused of a boatload of crimes, including underage sex trafficking. You don’t give a disgusting creep like that a deal unless 1) he can help you take down someone more important, and 2) he can bring the receipts to prove his claims, given that a jury might not be inclined to believe such a creep as a witness.

But here we go. The courts just scheduled a formal plea hearing for Joel Greenberg for this Monday. This means that the plea deal is a go, and it’ll be formalized unless something unexpected derails it at the last minute. This in turn means that Matt Gaetz is all but certainly going to be arrested and indicted on charges that are just as serious as the ones that Greenberg is pleading out on. It also means that the Feds will have Greenberg, and the receipts he’s brought, when they put Gaetz on trial.
