Holy crap is Donald Trump ever having a bad night

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $3360 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,

At one point today, Donald Trump retweeted an image of himself playing a violin. There was no context provided, but observers quickly took it as a sign that he was fiddling like Nero while his presidency burned. That’s actually rather fitting, considering just how badly things are going for Trump tonight.

Based on calamitously awful overnight futures trading, the stock market is set to open as much as 1300 points down in the morning. And with oil prices also collapsing overnight, it’s clear that the U.S. economy is now in serious trouble going forward – and that Trump is not equipped to handle such a challenge.

Meanwhile Trump still wants us to believe that the coronavirus scare in the United States is just a hoax, even as his GOP allies like Ted Cruz and Paul Gosar have announced this evening that they’re self-isolating because they’ve been exposed to the virus.

Oh, and Kamala Harris endorsed Joe Biden today, making clear that the Democratic unity ticket is coming together rather nicely. Donald Trump’s dream of facing a weakling like Bernie Sanders is quickly fading. Sweet dreams, Donald – and you should ask yourself if you’ve recently shaken Ted Cruz’s hand.
