Watch and learn Donald Trump. Learn how a truly eloquent, Noble and beloved former leader does it. This person is former President Barack Obama. Obama was speaking at a high school in Michigan on Saturday when hecklers interrupted him.

And his response was the direct opposite of what Donald Trump would have done. “Mr. President,” some of the hecklers yelled before proceeding to boo Obama. Obama handled it with the quiet dignity and grace we’ve come to expect from him.

“Hey, so this is what I’m saying! Whoa,” said Obama calmly.

“There is a process,” he explained. “That we’ve set up in our democracy.”

“Right now, I’m talking; you’ll have a chance to talk sometime.”

“That’s not a great way to do this.”

“It’s not; you wouldn’t do that at a workplace. If you wouldn’t just interrupt people in the middle of a conversation — it’s not how we do things.”

“Basic civility and courtesy work.”

Bravo.

The crowd went nuts, cheering for Obama and chanting, “Teach him, Barack. Teach him.”

The heckles started again as Obama called out:

“Hey, hold up.”
“Hey — listen, everybody.”

“Not only is this an example of what I’m talking about, but it’s also an example of how we get distracted.”

“Squirrel. That’s us with politics. We get distracted instead of focusing on what’s important.”

What a pity that EVERY former president doesn’t have this man’s grace. I refer, of course, to one, in particular, the orange madman who sits alone and abandoned, filled with jealousy toward one of the best presidents in history.

So thanks, Obama, for showing us how it’s done. Do you know readers what I’d love to see someday though it might be wishful thinking on my part? Supreme Court Justice Barack Obama.
