Hey Donald Trump, read the room

Dear readers, we've just launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our PayPal Page or our GoFundMe Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

Apparently, money really doesn’t buy everything, or at least it didn’t buy the Wisconsin Supreme Court election. What a resounding victory for the people of Wisconsin. Trump, as he did in his election against Joe Biden, spoke too fast and got embarrassed. Trump posted: “VOTER I.D. JUST APPROVED IN WISCONSIN ELECTION. Democrats fought hard against this, presumably so they can CHEAT. This is a BIG WIN FOR REPUBLICANS, MAYBE THE BIGGEST WIN OF THE NIGHT. IT SHOULD ALLOW US TO WIN WISCONSIN, JUST LIKE I DID IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, FOR MANY YEARS TO COME!” Is anyone else out there totally sick of this idiot? Stand aside while someone wipes the egg from his face.

Susan Crawford’s victory gives us some hope for the future. According to Irish Star, Crawford has “been at the forefront of legal battles to safeguard union power, abortion rights, and to challenge voter ID.” It cost quite a bit of money for this victory, but the cost of her loss would have been much greater. The Irish Star wrote that over $99 million was spent on this race, making it the most expensive court race in history. Musk was in Green Bay, hosting a town hall, wearing a cheese head, and giving away two one million-dollar checks, though Brian Tyler Cohen had already exposed one of the “winners” as an insider. It was all for show. Musk did, however, donate $21 million to Shimel’s campaign according to the Daily Beast.

Before the election, Musk claimed that the outcome could “determine the fate of Western civilization.” Dramatic much? As Musk typically does, he turned what should have been a non-partisan, low profile race into a circus. Being overly dramatic once again, Musk told supporters that the election mattered “for the future of the world.” Not only did Crawford win, but she managed to win two districts that Trump carried in November. Musk and Trump are concerned about two Republican seats in Wisconsin, claiming that they will be “gerrymandered,” but Republicans have been doing that for years to retain power. The Daily Beast gave us a classic example. Voters in Wisconsin tend to be 50/50, but Republicans control 75% of the seats in the house. Now, if that’s not gerrymandering, nothing is. Obviously, Wisconsin needs to redraw districts. With liberals in the majority, we at least know the redrawing won’t favor Republicans.

Perhaps Trump and Musk should pay attention to what’s going on around them. People are quickly growing tired of their grandstanding and firing people at will. Even the people who voted for Trump don’t want mass deportations, and they are certainly against his ignoring judges. The public also dislikes DOGE. Though we like cuts that create efficiency, DOGE has gone too far. These voters also do not like tariffs. Not to beat a dead horse, but we told you so. Trump was clear in his intent to levy tariffs. He is merely doing what he promised. Perhaps these same people will listen to promises and decide whether they want them before the election, not after.
