Here’s another upcoming election we can win

The Wisconsin supreme court race was expected to be close either way, with polls showing Susan Crawford ahead anywhere between one and six points, but as the results are counted, it’s shaping up to be a double digit loss for conservative Brad Schimmel despite Elon Musk pouring over $20 million into the race, including what could probably be interpreted as bribery of at least two voters. Conservatives are of course, reveling in the fact that they kept two congressional seats even if the candidates there underperformed by about half of what they should have.
Now we have another important race to win in November – the Virginia governor’s race, where the Republican candidate Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears has just handed us a massive gift. During a speech, she actually downplayed the massive layoffs that the Trump administration is bringing with DOGE, simply saying a layoff is no big deal and her would-be constituents are on their own. The trouble is, Virginia’s economy is dependent on government employees – those who work in veterans’ affairs, USDA, forest service, etc., and Sears, like all Republican politicians, can’t quite figure out why people would dedicate their own livelihoods to the service of other people. It’s time to rally behind former Rep. Abigail Spanberger for governor and do all in your power to get out the vote.
