Here we go again

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The orange lunatic has done it again! In an interview with The Washington Post, insurrectionist Donald Trump whined about the crowd size of the January 6 terrorists. Saying the media is attempting to hide the size of the crowd, Trump went on to fondly wax poetic about what a great day January 6 was.

“The crowd was far bigger than I even thought. I believe it was the; largest crowd I’ve ever spoken to.” It’s disgusting. Trump also lamented that his secret service refused to let him march to the Capitol with the rest of the insurrectionists.

Why do I bring up this rancid interview up? Because we need to make Trump’s little puppies owns it. Trump’s puppies are, of course, the scared little members of the GOP — who still refuse to say a bad word against him.

It appears these Republicans are there for one reason only — protect their leader at all costs. Trump’s utter callousness and disregard for human life are pretty apparent. And every single Republican running needs to be asked about it. They need to be asked if the insurrection WAS an insurrection. And they need to be asked about Trump’s role in it.

If they try to deflect or refuse to answer — they must be asked again — and again — and again. Trump still refuses to take any blame for the tragic events that happened at the Capitol. This isn’t surprising.

When has Trump ever taken responsibility for anything? This interview was wacky but not surprising. If we use it correctly, we can turn Trump’s vile words to our advantage. We can show the American people that if they vote Republican, they will be getting people loyal to nobody except their cult leader.
