Here lies the GOP

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

As I write these words, I’m struck by the futility of virtually all the Republican’s positions on everything. This has been a rough week for the GOP. It has been one of the worst weeks they’ve ever had. And so here is a recap of all things failed GOP

The GOP tried to shut the government down. It did not work. Democrats saved the day (as usual.) Kevin McCarthy, their fake House Speaker, might be on his way to being voted out. And — there is no yet a replacement if he IS voted out. (Speaker Jeffries, anybody?)

Matt Gaetz is pledging open war on McCarthy. The GOP has no policy plans. The impeachment or WHATEVER the GOP tried to talk about, has gone nowhere as their own witnesses testified against them and for President Biden.

Donald Trump’s on the hook for fraud, for January 6, for payoffs and for stealing classified documents. Donald Trump is losing his mind. The GOP has no policy plans. The GOP has no offerings for President except for a measly group of moldy also-rans who have proven they are NOT ready for prime time.

The women of this country hate them because of the abortion issue. The GOP has no policy plans. Donald Trump is now in full-on senility as well as being in the midst of a narcissistic collapse, and he seems to be threatening everyone.

In other words — the GOP fiddled while Rome burned — in this case, “Rome” is their own political party. And it just keeps burning and burning, swallowing up every coward, moron, and GOP idiot it comes across.

The GOP are like strangers in our lands, off somewhere in their own Prehistoric dream where they stamp their feet like cavemen, wanting their own way.

It does seem the world has passed them on by, sailing forth with innovation, with new ideas, new technologies, new people of all bright and gorgeous colors, new jobs being born, new celebrations going on, as people breathe the clean air, made cleaner by President Biden’s work on climate change.

And here, alone, like chastised little kids in lonely corners — stand the GOP — alone on their own grievance island, doomed to furrow their brows in anger and discontent as they watch a new America being born — without them.
