With the Electoral College set to formally elect Joe Biden as President on Monday, Trump and his people are about to start squealing more loudly than ever about imaginary ways they can still overturn the election. So let’s get it out of the way now.
No, Trump can’t have Republicans in Congress magically stop Biden from being certified. No, Trump can’t have Pence magically stop Biden from being certified. These aren’t real things, no matter how loudly Trump and his people might whine and squeal about it. Biden has a 100% chance of taking office. Trump’s fantasies to the contrary don’t suddenly become more realistic just because he’s more desperate.
