Here comes Michael Cohen
Michael Cohen has been a key witness in various investigations into Donald Trump’s crimes. He once famously gave congressional testimony that prompted the criminal probe that led to Trump’s upcoming New York criminal trial. Now it turns out Cohen is apparently about to testify to Congress again – and this time it’ll be deeply personal.
Back when Michael Cohen was serving house arrest and he was about to publish a book about Donald Trump’s crimes, Trump and Bill Barr’s DOJ illegally threw Cohen back in prison. The courts quickly sided with Cohen, and he was allowed back out on house arrest.
Since that time Cohen has been on a mission to get justice in the matter. His efforts have already helped lead to the ouster of the Trump-appointed head of the Bureau of Prisons. Now Cohen says that he’s being asked to testify to Congress about the scandal:

.
Given that the House is compromised by a pro-Trump Republican majority, we’re guessing that Michael Cohen is being tapped by a Senate committee. We’ll have to wait for the timing and details.
If you’ve been wondering when the Democrats are going to start holding congressional hearings aimed at shining a light on Donald Trump’s crimes ahead of the 2024 election, it looks like you’re about to get your wish.
