Here comes Jim Jordan’s ultimate meltdown
As we get ready for the start of the January 6 hearings, the GOP is hyper-focused on how to continue lying to the American people. Alone, scared, and likely losing what’s left of their minds, many in the GOP are attempting to find a strategy.
What should their reaction be? How should they play this? Again and again, the caravan of clowns shows they’re taking all the wrong turns. The latest in wrong turns has to do with “prebuttals.” You heard me. The GOP plans a response on Thursday. And this response will feature several GOP members, including “McCarthy’s original picks for the panel.”
Jim Jordan was one of those picks. Uh-oh. This is not a good strategy for the GOP but then again, when have they ever done something that makes sense?
There will be a myriad of problems with this tact. First off, it’s likely hardly anybody will be watching. Seriously. If the GOP thinks all eyes will be on them, they’re sadly mistaken.
Secondly, having Jim Jordan speak is not a good idea. It isn’t an as good idea because Jordan doesn’t know how to speak. Jordan is a yeller. He screams, and he rambles, and he chortles, and he makes most people turn their television volume down a bit. What he does NOT do is talk.
Is Kevin planning to say anything? This also is not a good idea. Kevin McCarthy is ignoring subpoenas and I don’t think if he speaks, he won’t be asked about that. He is also a lousy orator, so there’s that. And he won’t likely have anything of interest to say.
So this prebuttal they speak of? It will be a train-wreck waiting to happen. There will feature lies, liars, all lying about the big lie. Why not just call it the lying prebuttel?
What this does show us is the morally bankrupt Republicans couldn’t find a better way to do it. They’re once again on the fringes, the outskirts, mired in misery and muck. They certainly are doing credit to the saying
misery loves company.
