Here come those Trump White House visitor logs

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Throughout Donald Trump’s time in the White House, he insisted on trying to keep White House visitor logs a secret – and it always stood out as suspicious. But in the latest reminder of how Trump’s failed attempt at overthrowing the 2020 election is making a mess of everything for him, the National Archives has now been ordered to turn over the January 6th White House visitor logs to the January 6th Committee.

There are two ways this can go, and they’re both bad for Trump. The logs could reveal who visited Trump leading up to January 6th and plotted the insurrection with him, which would be an easy win for the committee.

It’s also possible that Trump snuck his January 6th co-conspirators in through the side door, as former prosecutor Daniel Goldman pointed out on Twitter. If so, they won’t be in the logs. But because the committee already has other evidence and testimony about at least some of these White House visitors leading up to January 6th, their absence from the visitor logs would help the committee prove Trump’s criminal intent.
