Heads up Ginni Thomas

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. For weeks now, many in the media have carried on about Ginni Thomas and why the January 6 committee has not issued a subpoena to her. This is a non-story that the media somehow has turned into one. Not a day goes by without (some) pundits accusing the January 6 committee of being lax in their duties by not issuing her a subpoena.

The truth is the committee has been hard at work for the American people. That does not mean they have forgotten Thomas. Liz Cheney said so herself.

Cheney said on CNN’s State of the Union that the committee is mulling over issuing Thomas a subpoena if she does not cooperate with the committee.

“We certainly hope that she will agree to come in voluntarily,” Liz explained. “But the committee is fully prepared to contemplate a subpoena if she does not.”

There it is, in black and white. Cheney also added that she very much hopes it does not come to that. And she reiterated the importance of speaking with Thomas.

So what this tells me is that the committee certainly has not forgotten about Thomas. If there is one thing this committee has shown, it’s that they’re sharp as tacks. They do not “forget” anything and certainly would not just drop the matter of speaking with Thomas.

So this is yet another non-story that the media attempted to blow up into a big story. Instead of wasting time talking about this, they might do well to report on the GOP and some of their more freakish candidates.

I’d like very much to see the headline “Republicans in disarray” because that is the truth. Alas, I am not so sure that’s a headline we will be seeing anytime soon if pundits have their way.
