He knows he’s losing
Donald Trump is now officially throwing everything at the wall he can think of, including a conspiracy theory involving President Obama that’s so nonsensical, even he can’t explain what it’s supposed to be about. There’s a reason for this, and it’s not too difficult to grasp.
Last week we saw reports that Trump had finally gotten a look at his own campaign’s internal poll numbers, and was shocked to find out he was losing. It raised questions about just how thoroughly his handlers have been isolating him from bad news, and how far gone he is that he didn’t realize he was being snowed by them.
Anthony Scaramucci, who briefly held a senior position in the Trump White House but has since sharply condemned Donald Trump, had this to say:
He knows he’s losing. That’s why they released the unmasking list today. He’s desperate.

Yep, that sums it up rather succinctly. Here’s the thing about desperation moves: by their nature, they don’t usually tend to work. Donald Trump could yet come up with something that could help his beleaguered campaign, but this “unmasking” nonsense isn’t it.
