Donald Trump is going to hate what President Obama just did to him
President Obama has had numerous major accomplishments. He save the country from the clutches of a depression. He brought health care to tens of millions of Americans. He served the country with dignity. He broke new ground as the first black president.
When President Obama posted the most-liked tweet in history in August 2017, which got 4.3 million tweets, that was not one of his biggest accomplishments. Life is about so much more than a popularity contest. But don’t tell that to Donald Trump, who is so insecure and narcissistic, he thinks Twitter likes are an accomplishment. Now Obama has just stuck it to Trump again today.
Trump has spent days tweeting the word “Obamagate” over and over again, reducing himself to one-word tweets because he has no idea how to even describe the phony scandal he invented. Today, President Obama decided to beat Trump at his own game by posting a one-word tweet of his own: “Vote.”
That tweet from President Obama has just crossed the one million like threshold, a mere eight hours after he posted it. Compare this to Donald Trump’s most recent “Obamagate” tweet, which was posted about twenty-four hours ago but only has about one-third as many likes. By Trump’s own metric, Obama just beat him soundly.
