Has the Secret Service been infiltrated?

Did the United States Secret Service obtain credible threats against the lives of Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi and deliberately fail to pass them along in a timely manner on January 6, 2021? Records noting datestamps of receipts of the threats by the Secret Service against datestamps of receipts by Capitol Police suggest they did. In the case of Schumer the notice was held up for an hour. In the case of Pelosi it was held up until after the insurrection.

If true, this suggests an unconscionable infiltration of Trumpism into the highest echelons of security for America’s lawmakers. There is no excuse for this kind of hateful delay, and if found to be deliberate the person or persons responsible should be criminally prosecuted.

It is particularly shocking that the source for the Schumer threat came from ultra rightwing news channel Newsmax. So Newsmax did their patriotic duty, the Secret Service apparently did not. This could explain in part why the Secret Service deliberately deleted thousands of text messages from January fifth and sixth. They were apparently covering up their complicity.

The only oath the Service undertakes is to discharge their duties faithfully and defend the Constitution. I would say that, if they deliberately delayed credible threats against Pelosi and Schumer, then they were remiss in both. Their specific duty is to protect The president, the vice president, or other individuals next in order of succession to the Office of the President.

Yet, the Secret Service largely reported that there was “no indication of civil disobedience” and dismissed many threats, even, or perhaps especially, when the threats involved groups such as the Proud Boys, Oath Keeprs or neo-Nazis. If true it would appear that the United States Secret Service are oath breakers of the worst kind.

I hasten to add that these allegations have yet to be properly investigated and they should remain speculation until they have. But one has to wonder why. If all those texts were deliberately deleted, there had to be a reason. If an investigation does not turn up evidence of passive cooperation with the insurrectionists, then what? Clearly the Secret Service had something to hide.

There is also a suggestion that the Secret Service was remiss in reporting credible threats against the life of the Vice President. And, of course, Mike Pence’s refusal to get in a car and be whisked away by the Service to some “safe place” where he also could not finish his job and certify the election is already well-known. That, of course, and the fact that a gallows was erected out front of the Capitol for Mr. Pence personally.

If such an infiltration can happen with the Secret Service it can happen with the police, various National Guards and all branches of the military. I have long suspected it has (and was sharply criticised for it in 2018.) Never in my life have I wished more that I was wrong. And, as ever, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, comrades and friends, stay safe.
