Joe Biden slam dunks Harvey Weinstein
Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to twenty-three years in prison today for his rape conviction. Donald Trump would likely be in prison for sexual assault himself by now, if he weren’t hiding behind the presidency, so naturally Trump hasn’t had anything to say about Weinstein today.
But Joe Biden is showing real leadership by addressing the matter head-on:
Today is a historic day for the #MeToo movement & for survivors of sexual violence. The bravery of those who stopped Weinstein cannot be overstated, & the burden of speaking out cannot be on survivors alone. We have to change our culture & our system to end sexual assault. https://t.co/LIhnOv8bFg

Now that’s what a president is supposed to sound like when it comes to matters like this. If we work hard and work smart, Joe Biden will win in November, and we can start getting used to having presidential leadership again.
