Deborah Ramirez has already dropped the FBI hammer on Brett Kavanaugh

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Even as controversy and chaos swirl around the scope of the FBI investigation into the sexual assault allegations into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, the FBI is moving forward very quickly. On Saturday afternoon we got confirmation that the FBI had already reached out to one of Kavanaugh’s accusers, Deborah Ramirez. Now it turns out Ramirez has in fact dropped the hammer on Kavanaugh.

Deborah Ramirez was interviewed by the FBI earlier today, according to a CNN report this evening. Not only that, she provided the FBI with a list of witnesses who can corroborate her sexual assault accusations against Brett Kavanaugh. This is crucial in legal terms, and in the court of public opinion, because it prevents this from being a “he said, she said” situation. With witnesses saying that they saw Kavanaugh assault Ramirez, it makes it far harder for swing voters like Flake, Collins, and Murkowski to adopt a “we’ll never know what happened” stance.

This once again raises the question of just what the FBI is allowed to investigate, and whom the FBI is allowed to interview. When Donald Trump tweeted last night that the FBI was free to take the probe in any direction it wanted, that was a legally binding order. Yet NBC News reported this afternoon that the FBI is supposedly sticking to the strict limitations previously set down by White House Counsel Don McGahn.

Interestingly, the above referenced CNN article states that “one of the sources cautioned that the list could expand based on conversations with others.” This stands in contrast to the NBC report that the witness list was severely limited and locked in place, which in turn directly contradicts Donald Trump’s tweet. So what’s really going on? We don’t know for sure. But we do know that Deborah Ramirez just dropped the hammer on Brett Kavanaugh, despite any White House efforts that may be going on to limit the effectiveness of the investigation.
