If things were utterly terrible for Donald Trump before he headed out for the G7 summit – and they were indeed utterly terrible for him – they’ve managed to get even worse in the two days he’s been abroad. G7 leaders are pretty much doing whatever they want behind Trump’s back, even as the Dow Jones was dragged down even further in Sunday night futures trading.

Just don’t ask Donald Trump for a response to everything that’s going wrong for him, because in his hallucinatory bubble, everything is just fine and dandy. For instance, Trump posted this tweet on Sunday: “In France we are all laughing at how knowingly inaccurate the U.S. reporting of events and conversations at the G-7 is. These Leaders, and many others, are getting a major case study of Fake News at it’s finest! They’ve got it all wrong, from Iran, to China Tariffs, to Boris!”

All we can say is wow. Obviously, none of the world leaders at the G7 are actually having these kinds of conversations with Donald Trump. So either Trump’s handlers are trying to shield him from how badly this is going by telling him that they’re having these imaginary conversations, or Trump has convinced himself that he’s having these imaginary conversations. We’re not sure which is worse.

Meanwhile, Trump continues to insist that the stock market is going up because of him, when in reality the stock market is now going down because of him. Trump tweeted this nonsense: “My Stock Market gains must be judged from the day after the Election, November 9, 2016, where the Market went up big after the win, and because of the win. Had my opponent won, CRASH!” We can’t really think of a response beyond “LOL.”
