Greg Abbott is making an even uglier mess in Texas
Sparklers. Roman candles. Skyrockets. All of these fireworks have lit up our skies on countless occasions. And isn’t it something to watch? Great streaks of color, flashing from the clouds, purple, golden, luscious reds, and glittering blues. One of my favorite displays was after President Biden won the 2020 Presidential election.
What a victory that was! And we, of course, want many more successes such as that one. And one place where we need a victory is Texas. Texas is falling apart due to incompetent and craven leadership. Governor Greg Abbott is a fool. He’s done nothing for Texans and, indeed, succeeded only in making life WORSE for his constituents. He must be defeated.
Perhaps Beto will be the one. If it is, we will likely see a celebration of skyrockets. But we will have to work hard. Abbott is getting worse and worse. Here is his latest disgusting order.
Abbott has ordered the Texas Education Agency to search for crimes of a pornographic nature being committed in Texas schools. He is demanding that reading materials be looked at, and if they are of a pornographic nature, the education department needs to notify law enforcement. Hey — I am against children having access to porn, and I am sure you are too.
Except that is not what Abbott cares about. He is jumping into the “book banning” hysteria going on. Let’s face it; there is more porn to be found with the click of an internet button than in any school library.
Abbott is doing pure theater, solely designed to make it look like the schools have something to hide. He is deliberately attempting to incite mass hysteria about an issue that doesn’t exist. So, we need to get him out of there because he will only get worse.
Anyone passionate about books should listen very closely and pay attention to what this monster is attempting to do. And then jump aboard the activism train, and we will go all in to defeat Abbott.
We will do that for the children who should be free to grow up, with their freedoms, unencumbered by artificial doom. They should grow up immersing themselves in knowledge, and the written word as so many of us did. So let’s make this a priority, and when we win, we will illuminate the Texas skies in triumph.
