Great news for the Democrats in the midterms

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Well, well, well. Here is some news that I have not heard any television pundit mention once as of now. It appears support for the midterms among Black voters is surging. That sounded so good I will repeat it — enthusiasm for the 2022 midterms among Black voters is THROUGH THE ROOF.

This comes from Morning Consult. They explain that since the nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, enthusiasm has jumped sky-high. Half of Black voters, according to Morning Consult, say they are “extremely” or “very” enthusiastic about voting this year. This is up a staggering 12 points since Jackson’s nomination.

Sixty-Nine Percent of Black voters say they approve of President Biden. This is a jump of 7 points. What this shows is that Black voters are appreciative of President Biden’s keeping his promise — a promise that is exciting voters everywhere. And speaking of Judge (soon to be Justice Jackson), there is other news.

Judge Jackson has been meeting with Senators. Susan Collins met with her and said she was impressed. Lindsey Graham, on the other hand, is not.

Graham has signaled he likely won’t vote for her. No surprise there. But Graham appears to be still sulking about Biden picking someone other than Graham’s number one choice — Judge J. Michelle Childs.

It would appear Graham possibly has amnesia about who makes the ultimate decisions in this country — and it sure isn’t him. But this is not Graham’s decision to make. And with this news from Morning Consult, we are seeing a wave of enthusiasm gathering steam.

Deer in folklore symbolize profound change. We will soon have one of these changes — the country’s first woman of color — a vibrant, radiant woman — taking her seat on the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
