GOP Senator John Kennedy has a screw loose

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

I’ve always suspected Louisiana Senator John Kennedy had a screw loose. It’s nice to be proven right. Kennedy missed his chance. I’ve always thought he’d make a good actor if he stuck to playing serial killers. There is something poppingly demented about the man’s whole carriage, and I imagine many others see it as well.

Senator Kennedy is not, in my opinion, the WORST Senator in the country. I think that precious honor goes to a certain fist-pumping oaf from Missouri. But I digress. What Kennedy IS, however, is a fraud. He hides behind the folksy “aw shucks” mask of everyone’s’ down-home neighbor. He pretends to be the kind of guy who would appear to love barbeques, an ice-cold beer, and casual small-talk.

But that isn’t who he is. However, he is a calculating and condescending troll of the most vicious kind. He always seems to make passive-aggressive statements he then dismisses with his artificial “I’m a really nice guy” attitude.

Kennedy has found himself going viral after a particular crass statement he made about President Biden’s Supreme Court nominee.

Kennedy was listing his qualifications — the ones he’d like to see for our next Justice. And the primary qualification he appears to want was in his own jagged words: Someone who “knows a law book from a J. Crew catalog.”

What the heck? The racist undertones of this statement are hard to ignore.
Kennedy seems oblivious to why folks would be outraged, but he isn’t. The man isn’t THAT dumb, and if he genuinely IS that dumb, he should resign immediately.

Now, Kennedy has a long history of saying stupid things, and he also has used this term before. That doesn’t make it OK, though. This statement was reportedly uttered at a Senate luncheon. How quaint.

I think it’s safe to say that Senator Kennedy isn’t going to be voting for Biden’s nominee. I think it’s also safe to say that Senator Kennedy is, as Don Lemon so very eloquently stated, “an ignoramus.” I couldn’t have said better myself.
