GOP hits the panic button over financial collapse

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The GOP has a wee bit of a problem right now. That problem is — their fundraising. To put it bluntly — it sucks. Republicans are said to be frantic about how much the Democrats are outpacing them in the fundraising game. But now, we might have an explanation for why that is.

Washington Post published an article on April 1. This article is NOT an April Fool’s joke, though it IS A Republican fool’s reality. WAPO says in its article that the fundraising efforts are failing and that the GOP still cannot seem to get their numbers where they should be.

The writers say they discussed the fundraising issues with “more than two dozen people across the Trump campaign.” So here is something new we’ve learned. One of the primary reasons the GOP seem to be having such a hard time is that they reportedly “don’t treat their donors well.” Oh no.

Hmm. Interesting news. But what does it mean? What EXACTLY are Republicans doing that is repelling these potential donors? A lot. According to GOP Fundraiser, John Hall, some of these things include:

There have been masses of emails and texts. If this were a romantic relationship, one would call it love bombing. This appears to be hate bombing. It is bound to get irritating. Sometimes less is more.

They are threatening to yank membership in the GOP unless the person donates. Okay, wait just a moment! Republicans are reportedly threatening their donors? That’s a way to make friends and influence people. What could they be thinking? (Rhetorical — they don’t know how to think.)

“TRAITOR” Yes, I’m afraid it’s true. They are reportedly they are calling potential donors traitors “if you don’t build a long-term relationship”, presumably with them. In other words, Republicans are harassing, bullying, and disrespecting their donors.

WHY? There are a few reasons that might come into play here. These are merely my opinions. The GOP is not that bright. Well, we KNEW that. Dogs are smarter than the GOP. Dogs can be trained. Republicans cannot be unless, of course, it’s by Donald Trump.

They’re trying to act more like Trump. This is something he’d do. That does not work. There is only ONE orange bastard, one orange traitor, and ONE document stealer. Republicans may be trying to look tough; all they’re looking for is ridiculous. So, to sum up — the GOP is now repelling its own donors. Great work, Republicans! It sounds like you’ve got a real working plan there!
