GOP hits the panic button over Elon Musk

Picture this: It is evening, and people are unwinding from their days, cooling off their stress with dinner, dessert, laughter, and shouts of “how was your day” to others. Then, it is television time.
So, as thousands turn on their sets, they’re greeted with the sneering, unpleasant sight of a man-baby by the name of Elon Musk snorting about what a Ponzi scheme Social Security is. Of course, some of these people at home know others who are ON Social Security or perhaps are on it themselves. So their evening tranquility is washed away by mists of thunder as if it had never been there at all.
Instead, stress settles in for the night. This is what is reportedly driving the Republicans utterly crazy, and worried. How do I know this? Because they are saying so: “Unnerving people.” More and more Republicans are becoming angry at Elon Musk, as images of his sneering baby face are becoming a regular character on peoples’ TV screens.
People do not want anything to affect their social security, and the GOP knows this. But Elon Musk has ratcheted up his TV appearances in recent weeks, and some simply want them scaled back because they claim he’s scaring the American people.
Of course, the Trump administration is saying they will not touch social security, but given the Trump administration regularly lies, that is not very reassuring. When people come home at night, they want peace. For many, the evening is supposed to be a hideaway from the bright chatter and the hard work they do, a quiet place for them to kick back and enjoy the dusky rose of twilight. But HOW CAN THEY when they have to turn on their TVs to see threats to their livelihood? How could they NOT be worried and upset?
This shows that the first cracks have started to appear between the Republicans and Musk. It is no wonder. Midterms and special elections are coming soon. And you KNOW Republicans get this way around election time, especially when some of their own fellow GOP members are talking about taking away that which is most important to their voters.
Will they turn entirely on Musk? I am not so sure of that since Republicans are afraid of their shadows—literally. I envision the typical Republican as being locked in fear, ice glaziers of it, jumping whenever someone whispers to them those words: “Social security.” We’ll see if they have what it takes to challenge Musk, not just privately but before their voters.
