GOP hits the panic button as DOJ closes in on Donald Trump
The republican non-party is going crazy making up outlandish stories about why the FBI searched Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property. They planted evidence! They’re the deep state! They’re out to get Donald Trump! On and on, the merry-go-round of Republican bullshit goes.
And they’re sounding increasingly freakish. Marjorie Taylor Greene has called for defunding the FBI. Fox non-news has all but evaporated into a sopping wet mess, with Ainsley Earhardt actually implying the FBI planted evidence.
Alan Dershowitz appears to have lost his mind, saying the FBI “circumvented Trump’s fifth amendment rights.” Ron DeSantis called the country a “banana republic,” and Matt Gaetz is striking at other republicans who he doesn’t think are coming down hard enough on Garland and the Justice Department.
The meting down of the GOP is a beautiful thing to see. It appears that they have finally found their voices in regards to something to be angry about. Not the January 6 insurrection. Not mass shootings like in Uvalde, Texas. Nope. Nothing that humane.
The only thing that seems to move them to rage is Donald Trump. That is what they’re angry about. That anybody dares try and stop Donald Trump from breaking the law! The GOP has now revealed itself to be a bunch of criminals who enjoy aiding and abetting other criminals.
They’re a criminal enterprise, and they’re now showing it every second they continue to defend Trump’s eternally unending mess.
Many in the GOP think this raid helps them. At least that is what they SAY. I do not feel most really believe that. Some say Trump will gain new followers from that. Yeah? I say — from where. The GOP has been saying Trump would gain new followers for YEARS now. He never does. That is because there ARE no new followers. Only the sickos love Trump.
But you can’t teach old dogs new tricks. It’s impossible. The only arrow in their quiver that the GOP has is their Trump devotion. They’ve run out of other arrows. They’ve failed the American people.
