Goodbye Peter Navarro!
Once you’re convicted at a criminal trial, you typically go to prison while you’re appealing the verdict. The only exceptions tend to come when your prison sentence is so short that you’d end up serving the whole thing while appealing, which you can try to argue is unfair.
Trump adviser Peter Navarro tried doing precisely that, arguing that he shouldn’t have to serve his four month prison sentence while appealing his misdemeanor conviction for contempt of Congress. But with Navarro set to report to prison at the end of the weekend, the courts ruled once again yesterday that Navarro must indeed report to prison today.
Within days, Trump adviser Peter Navarro will be sleeping in a prison cell. And yes, Donald Trump is next.
