Good news for the Democrats in the 2026 midterms
One question I often hear is why there are so few millionaires and billionaires backing the Democrats. After all, people argue that Trump’s got the Muskrat; he has Zuckerberg. Whom do WE have? Well, we just gained SOMEONE. Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg has jumped into the democracy fight. His gun safety control group, Everytown, is pledging $10M for DEMOCRATS to elect state Attorneys General in competitive states.
The money will be for races this year and in the midterms in 2026. Some of the states where this money will be spent include Virginia, Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Minnesota. “Bloomberg pumps money into the long-term legal fight against Trump.”
This could not have come at a better time, really. It seems we have the winds at our backs. With protests rapidly expanding, with Trump’s poll numbers cratering, and with the GOP running from their own town hall constituents, it is good that WE have some fresh cash flowing into our coffers.
This money, the group says, is “meant to help protect the rule of law and democracy.” Bloomberg is known for his generosity, and I, for one, could not be happier to see him join the resistance and help the fight. And I have every faith that Bloomberg, unlike that guttural and stupid Muskrat, will not bribe people to vote for his candidate of choice. He will donate hard cash — and help us take back our country from the right.
