Good news for Liz Cheney, bad news for Republican leadership

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

There is good news on the horizon for Liz Cheney. Cheney, as you know, is facing a tough reelection campaign. This is because she is being punished by sickening Republicans who cannot forgive her for the crime of being honest about January 6 traitors.

Cheney has a Primary challenger who has the support of many a Republican, including orange misfit Donald Trump. But now there is some bad news for that opponent — and excellent news for Cheney.

This news is that Wyoming will have open primaries. This means that Cheney’s chances of reelection just got better The reason for that is now EVERYONE in Wyoming will be able to vote in the Republican primary. And make no mistake, I want Cheney to win her primary.

Wyoming is one of the reddest states in the country. At one time, it had more registered Republicans than any other state. Democrats do not usually do well there. And there is no way I want her lunatic challenger, Harriet Hageman, a Trump sycophant, to win.

There was a bill that would have prevented an open primary on the table — but it has died. What that means is any democrat, or Independent who wishes to vote for Cheney now has the opportunity to do so. I’d say Cheney’s reelection chances just went up significantly.
