Good news for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The good news just keeps coming on the nomination of Judge Ketanji Borwn Jackson to the Supreme Court. It’s official! Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is “the most popular Supreme Court Justice in years.” Poll after poll after poll tells the story of the American people’s reaction to her nomination. And the story is looking good! Gallup averaged her popularity and found she has a +27 point net in favor. That’s simply amazing.

And why shouldn’t she? It is only racist Republicans who don’t want her seated. Judge Jackson is more qualified than any of the court’s current members, and it is about time people realized this. And according to Gallup — to Quinnipiac — to Pew — even to Fox — they have.

Of course, Tucker Carlson doesn’t, but he is outside the mainstream of opinion, although he doesn’t seem to realize this. And it is looking like Judge Jackson will be confirmed before Easter recess. The Senate Judiciary Committee is planning to vote on April 4. From there, her nomination goes to the Senate floor. This is set to happen before the recess.

The vote is looking great, and perhaps we will even pick up a few republicans.

But even if we do not pick up one, it doesn’t matter. We have the votes, and we have the candidate — a magnificent candidate, the MOST POPULAR candidate in years, who will soon step into the halls of history.
