“Going to hell” – Donald Trump has unhinged meltdown while leaving the courtroom after Hope Hicks destroys him
Hope Hicks’ testimony this afternoon helped ensure that Donald Trump is headed straight for a conviction in this criminal trial, as she torpedoed his planned defense strategy of claiming that Michael Cohen acted without Trump’s knowledge.
Even if an addled Trump didn’t understand the legal implications of what Hope Hicks said, he surely got the hint when Hicks began crying after the admission and apologized to Trump.
Sure enough, on his way out of the courtroom, Trump threw a fit, announcing that “The country is going to hell. They have no time. They have no anything left, because they are always under siege. It’s a terrible, terrible thing happening in our country.” Translation: things are going to hell for Trump, and since he’s a malignant narcissist, he has to convince himself that things are going to hell for everyone.
Trump added that “I was very interested in what took place today.” Translation: he has no idea what took place today, but he got the hint when his friend Hope Hicks apologized to him for what she’d just done to him.
