Ghislaine Maxwell’s day of reckoning

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Ghislaine Maxwell is sitting in a cell right now, charged with a half a dozen felonies in relation to Jeffrey Epstein’s serial child rape. There’s been a lot of speculation about what all Maxwell knows, and whether she’ll end up cutting a plea deal to try to avoid a long term prison sentence.

That picture is about to get at least a bit clearer. Ghislaine Maxwell is having her arraignment and bail hearing just six days from now, on July 14th. This is will serve as something of a day of reckoning for her. She’s surely hoping to get released on bail. But considering her frequent overseas travel and her penchant for disappearing, and the ugliness of her alleged crimes, it seems likely her bail will be denied.

At that point Maxwell will have to seriously think about whether to cut that plea deal. The alternative will be to rot in a cell until her trial, which could be several months or more away. It looks like her day of reckoning may be upon us.
