Gerry Connolly tells off Jim Jordan to his face

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Republican Congressman Jim Jordan is having a bad week. First the news broke that George Clooney is producing a documentary series on the sexual abuse scandal at Ohio State University that Jordan is widely accused of having helped cover up. Now Jordan is taking heat from within Congress.

Today the House held a hearing about Donald Trump’s corrupt Postmaster General Louis DeJoy. Jim Jordan took it as an opportunity to further Trump’s lies about mail-in voting. Let’s just say that Democratic Congressman Gerry Connolly wasn’t having any of it:

In the end, Connolly said this to Jim Jordan: “I didn’t vote to overturn an election. And I will not be lectured by people who did, about partisanship.”
