George Santos just got criminally indicted AGAIN
When House Republican George Santos was first criminally indicted and arrested by the DOJ, the charges appeared to only cover a portion of Santos’ lengthy crime spree. When Santos’ former campaign treasurer pleaded guilty last week and agreed to testify against Santos, Palmer Report and others predicted that it meant more charges were coming against Santos.
Sure enough, the DOJ hit George Santos today with a superseding indictment that includes 23 criminal charges. This means Santos is going to prison for an even longer amount of time once he’s convicted.
Santos is still refusing to resign for now. And House Republicans, who are in embarrassing chaos, are still unwilling to expel him. But at this point Santos has to be thinking about a plea deal – which would certainly include his resignation. More to come.
