George Santos goes off the bonkers deep end
George Santos was arraigned again on Friday, as his criminal charges continue to pile up. House Republicans are still keeping him around, in a stunningly embarrassing specter given that Santos literally stole the identities of his own Republican campaign donors.
House Republicans in the districts surrounding Santos are now moving to expel him, for fear that his continued presence will cost them their seats in 2024. We’ll see where that expulsion vote goes. In the meantime, Santos has… this to say:
Period. pic.twitter.com/jYpiMoHTjD

.
Uh, okay then. After staring at this GIF for a full five minutes, we decided that maybe Santos is telling his critics to put a lid on it. But others had different interpretations. One person replied to Santos and said “Yes the case against you is open and shut!” Another asked if perhaps Santos had intended to post the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters.
At this point George Santos is a straight up punchline. He was never stable to begin with, and now he’s unraveling in real time under the weight of going to prison. And yet House Republicans are still trying to figure out whether to expel him now or wait until he’s been hauled away.
