Because Donald Trump is a deranged psychopath, he’s seen the coronavirus crisis as an opportunity to attack the nation’s Governors for his own political game. Because Trump is also completely inept at this sort of thing, his antics have only served to make certain Democratic Governors more popular.

Trump doesn’t seem to know what to do when it comes to California Governor Gavin Newsom, whose highly competent handling of the coronavirus crisis in his state has made him extremely popular in California and nationwide. Newsom has declined to publicly tussle with Trump, meaning Trump doesn’t want to attack him. So now Trump has decided to try to drive some kind of wedge between Newsom and the rest of the Democrats:

Unfortunately for Donald Trump, no such wedge exists. He’s pretty much hallucinating about MSNBC attacking Gavin Newsom. And as for his “MSDNC” quip, which appears to be some kind of statement about MSNBC and the DNC, it’s still not funny. When he says “MSDNC” it sounds like he’s craving a McDLT from McDonald’s. Someone get this guy a sandwich so he’ll stop tweeting.
