Jimmy Fallon has the perfect response after Donald Trump tries to distract us from his child cages by attacking him
Last night Donald Trump desperately tried to create a distraction by launching a rather weird attack on Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. As we’ve spelled out, based on various metrics, Trump’s distractions are rapidly becoming less effective, as the public increasingly refuses to be distracted from his immigrant child cage scandal. Not only did Trump’s attack on Fallon not produce the desired effect, Fallon found a way to turn the whole thing on its head.
Here’s the ridiculous tweet that Trump posted to begin with: “Jimmy Fallon is now whimpering to all that he did the famous “hair show” with me (where he seriously messed up my hair), & that he would have now done it differently because it is said to have ‘humanized’ me-he is taking heat. He called & said ‘monster ratings.’ Be a man Jimmy!”
Trump appeared to be hoping that Jimmy Fallon would take the bait by either defending himself or by cowering. Instead, Fallon simply posted this in response: “In honor of the President’s tweet I’ll be making a donation to RAICES in his name.” RAICES is the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, a group that’s working diligently to help the immigrant families that Donald Trump is trying to destroy.
In other words, Jimmy Fallon managed to take Donald Trump’s attempt at distracting us from his immigrant child cages, and turn it into an opportunity to put the focus directly on the issue. If you want to make a donation to RAICES as well, you can do it on their official website.
