Fulton County opens criminal investigation into Donald Trump
There’s a reason Palmer Report depicts Donald Trump in prison in photos and imagery: it’s where he’s headed. The Manhattan District Attorney in New York has had a widely documented grand jury in the process of criminally indicting Trump on financial crimes for more than a year. Now the Fulton County District Attorney in Georgia has launched a criminal investigation into Trump as well.
Multiple major news outlets are confirming today that the Fulton County DA has launched a criminal probe into Donald Trump for having illegally tried to pressure Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger into tampering with the 2020 presidential election results. This isn’t a surprise, as it comes weeks after the DA publicly hinted that such a probe would take place, and just two days after Raffensperger’s office announced a fact finding investigation into the call.
So now Donald Trump is under criminal investigation by two different District Attorneys in two different states for two different kinds of crimes. Notably, these are both the kinds of crimes – financial fraud and election fraud – that tend to lead to surefire convictions.
This is before getting to the question of whether Trump will also be criminally investigated by the Washington DC District Attorney for the Capitol insurrection, or the Department of Justice on federal charges. The rest of Trump’s life will be defined as that of a criminal defendant, and ultimately, a prisoner.
